HTC Rezound vs Samsung Galaxy S3

I have had my HTC Incredible for 2 years now and can finally upgrade, but I'm torn between the Rezound and Galaxy S3. I really loved my Incredible and HTC and have heard great things about the Rezound. I would need to get the extended battery but I've been using a big extended battery on my Incredible for most of its life so I've gotten used to the size. The Galaxy S3 is clearly the superior device spec wise but is it really worth the almost $200 premium? Rezound is $79 and comes with $100 headphones (not really a major factor but definitely something to consider). My only worry with the Rezound is that it is already something like 7 months old and I would be stuck with it for 2 years. It's already slow to getting ICS so I'm afraid it will quickly become outdated.

i'm in the exact same boat but I think I'm siding with the rezound. price point and ICS within the week (fingers crossed).

I know it will end up with sense 3.6 and I've reviewed that as well, seems ok to me.

There are a lot of things I like about the GS3 but i dont know if its worth $120; especially with the nexus tablet about to be announced.

I love my DInc, but I just found out Verizon wont allow me to renew my (outdated) unlimited data plan past June 28, so I'm renewing tonight, despite my objections. I had wanted to wait around to see what people thought of the GS3, but I can't lose my unlimited data.

I'm torn between the Rezound and the GS3. For two main reasons; the price being the biggest, as Verizon has lowered the Rezound from $199 to $79, and because I love my HTC phone (even though I've rooted it and wiped out Sense completely).

I feel like I should go with the GS3, as I will be keeping this phone for as long as possible, in order to maintain my data plan. I'm unfamiliar with Samsung phones though...and I hate preordering anything....The price +tax+fees is gonna kill me...but will I regret it later on?

Anyone have any insight? I've watched all the reviews on Engadget and Cnet, also browsing specs and other reviews via Verizon, Best Buy and anywhere else I can.

order the rezound, you have 14 days to play with it. Or go to best buy and see if they will price match the rezound as some do that and they will give you 30 days to see if you like it.
