HTC sensation vs. galaxy s 2 vs. HTC amaze?

I have been looking at these 3 phones to upgrade to I am currently on a Tmobile comet and want to step up. From what I read so far, the Gs2 is pretty weak cheap made, but battery last longer, and is faster. The HTC sensation is nice clear screen has the sense 3.0 but battery drains fast and gets hot, the Amaze is about same as the sensation, but has a even less battery time, I use a phone review site they make the Gs2 better than both HTC's, but have heard HTC's are good sturdy built phones.

I am not a power user, facebook a few times a day, might look on craigslist, or google something, youtube once in a while. Has anybody used these enough to give a decent review of there own experience. I looked at them in the store, and the Gs2 feels really cheap, I like the feel and look of the sensation, but liked the bigger looking screen of the Gs2, and the Amaze just looked, felt, and tried it was weird.

FWIW, "my" Sensation's battery will typically last 24+ hours of "my" normal use. This varies greatly however, as with "any" phone, depending on how long the phone is in an area of marginal signal strength (e.g. at my work place). At home, it will last 36-48 hours on a charge...YMMV. I have yet to have it get hot, but again, it will be warmer than usual in weak signal area.

I have a Galaxy S2 and really like it. It doesn't feel cheap to me. I've dropped it twice and there's not a scratch on it (gotta love gorilla glass).

When selecting a phone, two things bothered me about HTC phones. The biggest thing is the quality of their speakers. The speakers pretty much suck on all of their phones (one of the biggest complaints I see in many HTC reviews) and I like using speaker phone, so that ruled them out. I've used the speaker phone a lot on the Galaxy S2 and it's works great. From what I've read, the Sensation has the typical crap HTC speakers.

My second issue with HTC is the contrast level on their LCD screens. My friend who has the 3D HTC Evo compared it to my Galaxy S2 while watching the same movie at the same time. The contrast was soo much better on the Galaxy S2. To give you an idea of the difference, the HTC's contrast levels looked liked my old LCD TV from 2004 and the Galaxy S2's contrast looked nearly equal my plasma HDTV that I bought this year.

Battery life is decent on the Galaxy S2, but it could be better. I'd say it's about average for a smart phone.

Think I am going to try the amaze I got to play with the three more, and like the way the amaze ran, plus it has a fm radio Gs2 does not, like the camara better on amaze pitcure was clearer, auto focus was better up close shots more clear, Gs2 camara was ok, auto focus ok, up close it couldn't focus clear they were blurry.

After playing with them, one thing was gs2 screen was nice, big vibrant colors, 16gb memory. Amaze, the cam was great nice features, clear pictures, easy to navigate to me, sensation just a average unit, cam was ok, kinda weird to navigate run equal to amaze, but amaze features I liked better out of all 3, so will give it a try.

I talked to a rep in the store and none of the 3 have had issues or any body unhappy with them, have not had any returns, so all 3 are good phones, its just what one wants in features. Plus I have heard, HTC puts a little better quality in there builds, don't know how true it is but will find out.
