Help HTC stock calendar problems...

Switched my m8 to the new 10, and I've lost my calendar appointments (using the htc stock calendar) - nothing in google (where I was backing it up) or on the google calendar app. I literally only did the htc transfer and nothing else! I'm in a bit of a panic, because I use the calendar daily and it has years of needed info... any help is appreciated...

Probably a dumb question, but have you synced your old calendar with Outlook in the past recently? You can use HTC Sync Manager to get the content back for up to a year in the past, I believe which is what I did when I went from the M8 to the 10 recently.

HTC Sync Manager doesn't sync with google calendar. It syncs the stock Android "PC Sync/HTC Sync Manager calendar" with MS Outlook's calendar.

Did you use the stock calendar on your HTC M8? It doesn't sound like you backed it up with HTC Sync Manager or any other 3rd party program. It doesn't auto backup.

Maybe if you still have it you can transfer the calendar over with HTC Sync Manager or another 3rd party app. Then send it over to new HTC 10.

so, should I use the microsoft outlook or does anyone know of a good 3rd party app for this? This is actually giving me some hope, lol

It sounds like you do still have the M8 so again, if you can, to spell this out again, get your hands on a PC version of MS Outlook and install HTC Sync Manager from their website onto your PC, connect your M8 to your computer with the USB cable and sync the calendar. Disconnect the M8, then connect the HTC 10 with its cable, use the HTC Sync Manager again sync the calendar to get your appointments back.

Always use your google calendar in HTC app and you should be fine (which I realize doesn't help now). I've never had issues getrting calendar info from one htc to another since I had the OG Incredible.
