htc sync coming up with a debug error, need help

Hi everyone,
I'm having a little trouble with my htc sync, the problem is that whenever i open up htc sync it comes up with a error saying 'Debug error, This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.' Any help would be much appreciated.

I had the same problem. If you have iTunes, there may be a conflict. Fortunately, my iTunes was on an external hard drive, so I unplugged it, reloaded the HTC Sync software, and it booted up and connected just fine. I read somewhere else that someone had 'disabled' their iTunes and the Sync worked just fine after that. Good luck!
