Help HTC SYNC: No device detected?

Come on, anyone? I need help.
On the HTC Site, there were instructions, and one of them said
"2. When your phone prompts you to choose a type of USB connection, tap HTC Sync, and then tap Done."
I don't see the HTC SYNC on my phone.

What are you trying to do? Those sync programs are almost useless. The data that it it can sync is already sync'd to the cloud. The rest of the SD can be seen by the computer as a simple disk drive.

i am in the same boat, if i here of a solution i will post for you. At the moment i feel like chucking the phone in the bin and continuing with my windows mobile.
Peace and blessings Howie

No wonder i did not get help, i was trying to sync my outlook contacts, as i had troub;le with this and the fownload of apps on wifi, i have junked the phone and gone back to windows mobile. YAY easy to use and windows junk works with windows junk.
Bless you for your offer of help.
PS sorry to you all i forgot to let you know i junked the phone.

good for you, you will be much happier playing with junk. The rest of us will use the cloud as designed and not go near a silly sync app on a pc that doesn't work. And there's one more used android phone on the market, thanks.

Well you a nice guy???
For what its worth i dont have a phone to play with but as a tool for work. I never said i wanted to play with a phone, where would you get an idea like that but for your self.
I doubt your post is representative of the android community as none of them have given me the smarmy kick you did.
For what its worth the phone is not in the market. Sorry for you if you were wanting to play with it.
May you be blessed to see the unkindness in your words to me buy my un kind response. May your life be filled with joy.
peace and blessings Howie

I had this same exact problem. Drove me nuts. Read somewhere that there might be a conflict with iTunes. Fortunately, my iTunes is on an external hard drive. I unplugged it, reloaded the HTC Sync software and it booted right up with no errors. If you can somehow 'disable' iTunes, or disconnect any external hard drives, give it a shot. It might work for you like it did me. Good luck!!!
