Help HTC Sync

Well-Known Member
Hi! I just got the HTC One X and have downloaded HTC Sync but when I connect my phone via USB to the computer, HTC Sync says that it does detect the device.

i have tried uninstalling and reinstalling it on 2 different computer but still no luck.
Just wondering if anyone can help me with this issue.
I'm hoping that being able to sync it may help with my Wi-fi issues (although I think it may be just wishful thinking!:()

Hi there Nikki!

Welcome to the Android Forum!

I recommend you check out the forum section on the HTC One X and also the section on HTC Sync

Lastly, I highly recommend downloading the free Phandroid app from the Google Play Market as an easy way to access the forum.

Welcome to the forums and good luck with your problems.

hi
this happened to me as well on my first go.

this is what i did or more or less what happened:

-installed 'htc sync', (apparently 'htc sync manager' is not available yet, coming soon).
-plug in usb with htc one x
-didnt detect
-check if htc sync installed
-reinstall/ or restart computer
-plug in usb with htc one x
-computer does its work in the background and finally usb say hardware detect
-on the phones itself - becomes a usb sync option page
choose the one for htc sync manager, or just the usb storage if you just want to access your files/data.
-windows UAC pops up for permission
-system opened my default browser to link to a page that said 'htc sync manager' is coming soon... stupid
-choose htc sync on pc when a window pop up to ask what you want to do
-htc sync opens and detected my device.

finally.

you need to swipe the notification bar down and select the sync manager when the lead is connected.
Until you do this the phone thinks it is charging only.

Thanks for all your advice. I got it working and HTC sync is now recognising my phone but when I go to sync my phone, it just comes up with an unknown error (1000). Any idea what this means??
