HTC Touch Pro 2 or HTC Incredible

I'm currently a Verizon Wireless Customer. I have my NE2 and can get the TP2 for $50 or the Incredible for $170. I'm looking for recommendations. I'm coming from the Droid Eris which was given to me as a gift. I loved android with Sense UI. I know that the TP2 has WM 6.1 or 6.5 but can boot android 2.1 with Sense UI now as well. with limitations. I like that the TP2 is highly customizable with various different roms to choose from. Also, Having a hardware keyboard would be nice to use again. I've only heard perfect things about the TP2's keyboard... The incredible has clearly newer technology with Android 2.1 with Sense UI fully working. I'm sure the phone will eventually be rooted and henceforth also very customizable. I know the specs of both phones. Based on everything including the difference in price, what are your recommendations?

Without a doubt the Incredible, I've owned every WM & Android smartphone for VZW and the Inc is clearly the best. I've always rooted everyone of my phones and it would be nice to do so with the Inc, but I'm enjoying the stock look so much right now that I'm in no hurry to get it rooted. If you need a keyboard and want to root get the Droid, in my experience its a much better phone than the TP2. My two cents.

I had the tp2 for about 6 months, and enjoyed it. It was my first smartphone. Heard a lot of hype about Android phones and tested a few out(expect the nexus 1). Thought I needed a great kb like the tp2. I tried the incredible, and liked it. Typing is easy, speed and signal great. And all the stuff I had on the tp2 I now have on the incredible. I don't own a pc or laptop, but with the incredible I don't miss one either. I found the right phone for me. i would say give the incredible a shot.:)

I haven't used the TP2, but I have had my Incredible for a couple of weeks and it's uber-fast. Speed is one the most important factors for me in using a phone to make my life easier - checking something on the Internet, getting movie times, etc. I also think the size is perfect. The screen is large and has amazingly good quality, but the phone is still thin and small enough to easily carry without feeling like you're lugging around a brick (i.e. Motorola Droid).
