HTC Weather vs Weather Channel App

The HTC Weather App give me a current temp of 84. Weather Channel App says 90. Where the heck is the HTC App getting it's data? Any way to link to HTC weather (and time) app to weather channel? That's a big difference.
 
Probably various local weather reporting sources.

Like I think WeatherBug and Weather Underground web sites use volunteer reporting stations vice one reporting source.
