Emails are ti plain text not HTML how can I stop this changing

Hi and welcome to Android Forums. 
if you are using the default email client, click the words "show pictures" at the top of each email. i've just been through the settings on my HTC One email client and there doesn't appear to be a way to do this automatically.
In the Gmail app, if you click the words 'Show Pictures' at the top of the email you then get the option to 'Always show pictures from this sender' which you can then press to do exactly that.
