Analysts are predicting HTC's death if they can't compete with Samsung with better-selling devices. The HTC One was a good start, but can they keep up that momentum?

They're losing millions of dollars. The HTC One was a big success, but that's not a guarantee that this success will continue.

They are more likely to be bought out than die. They know how to make good phones - the real question is can they make a good brand to increase their marketshare.

If the HTC One did have a removable battery, SD card, and a 8 or 10 megapixel camera ...it would have sold more than the Samsung Galaxy S4 and iPhone 5 i believe. :)

One bad move...was ...they went ultrapixel, instead of megapixel.

That is where HTC went wrong. Hopefully the chit-chat/rumor about the company going broke is just that of a falsely bad rumor.

What does a removable battery have to do with anything? iPhones, tablets (iPad, Kindle Fire, Nexus 7) don't have removable batteries or SD card slots, yet they sell fine. As long as the device has plenty of internal storage (at least 32GB) you don't need an SD card.

Maybe you don't. I do. Non removable (replaceable) battery and no SD card slot are a deal breaker for a lot of people.

I think Tendo's point is that the iPhone has no removable battery or sd card and it sells extremely well, therefore the statement made by Rush is somewhat invalid.

The SD card slot isn't a big deal for me, but I'm inclined to take a pass on a phone w/o a replaceable battery. At least until they come up with a battery with infinite life.

Given that your thread originally in the Android Lounge asks if everyone ought to give up because Samsung is so great, I think it's time to just end the astroturfing.

Anyone have a problem with the lock, drop me a line, my door is always open.
