Hi DEV72

I've been having the same problem and have yet to find a solution. Mine only has this problem when trying to access the internet via a data connection, if I use WIFI it seems fine. After using a WIFI connection my data connection seems to kick back into action for a while but it will go down again at some point, there's no pattern to it. I'm with Virgin Mobile, it would be interesting to know if you're with the same. I'm thinking of trying a sim from a different provider but have to wait until mine goes down again as it's working OK at the moment.

If anyone has an answer we'd love to hear it.

Thanks

I have the same problem:

HTC Desire on Virgin Mobile UK. It only happens every few days and only 3G / data connection, not WIFI.

Any ideas?

Thanks

I have been getting this problem for some time on my Samsung Galaxy S and now my Wife gets the same issue on her ACE. the only way i have been able to fix it (temporarily) is by going to APPLICATIONS - SETTINGS - WIRELESS AND NETWORK - MOBILE NETWORKS - NETWORK OPERATORS - press ok - then press select automatically and ok again.

The phones do work for a day then fail again the next day, Virgin dont know what is causing it..

Hope this helps

I have the same problem, again only when using 3G. It started on Sat 18 June and has been intermittent since. Carrier: Virgin Mobile. I hope somebody can find the solution quickly as my contract is up for renewal soon and if this problem continues, it might be time to change network.

I have been having this same issue on Virgin Mobile, on two different phones. I renewed my contract with them on Tuesday so got a new Android device, upgrading from a Samsung Jet. On both devices I get the 403 forbidden message at random times. I'm not sure if it's got worse in the last few days or I'm noticing it more because I've got a new phone and I'm playing with it a lot more, but either way it's rubbish. On the Jet I could get data access again by resetting the connection by going into flight mode and then back again. That's not working on my new phone. I will try Austino123's suggestion.

I'm still in the 14 day trial zone for the new contract so might not stay if the connection stays lousy.

Having the same issue. I'm also on Virgin Mobile and it only occurs when connected via mobile network.
Really rubbish if you're trying to do something important, say using it for directions.
It's been happening for about a week on and off.
HTC Desire.

Just to throw a spanner in the works I'm with Virgin, had the ace and carrier for 2 months and never once encounted this problem.

Unfortunately i have the same issue .its a virgin mobile problem then.I may switch as my contract just ended .is it a result of network merges ie orange and t-mobile .whose network virgin uses

HTC Desire on Virgin Mobile with same problem, has anyone contacted them about this? I presumed it was an app or setting or something I had done until I read this thread ...

Hello, My friend Google brought me here, I have the same 403 error on my Galaxy Ace since last week. However besides the web browser everything (emails, android market, annoying commercials in free games, etc.) still enjoys connectivity. The funny thing is... I live in Singapore, and my carrier is a local one, Starhub.
