Huatch: Speaker Inside!

So Android Police did a quick teardown of the Huawei Watch and made an interesting discovery:

Looks like a tiny speaker!

To date, no other Android Wear device has emitted sounds, and the Huatch doesn't do so currently...
I do wonder what Huawei has planned for that speaker though. Could be interesting.

How do you think it will be used?

I find this particularly interesting for two reasons:
  1. As far as I know, no other Android Wear device has included a speaker.
  2. Android Wear is Android Wear. I don't believe Huawei is allowed to change the featureset of the OS. (Thank goodness, EMUI on my wrist would be unbearable.)
This leads me to guess that Huawei has been colluding with Google on the Huatch (as we pretty well know they've been working together on a Huexus), and that the speaker is being included to accommodate some as-yet-unreleased Android Wear feature. The Huatch may just be the first wearable with the hardware to support it.

I don't think we'll see it used for Dick Tracy-style wrist-based voice communication (though admit it: that would be awesome), but I do hope it will be used for TTS reading of incoming messages (on demand, hopefully) and for responses to Google Now queries.
