Root Huawei Ascend 2 - UsCellular

So question, I have 2.3.5 firmware as my stock firmware on my US Cellular device. If I am not mistaken, I should be able to downgrade to 2.3.3 so that I can root and install A2tude on it, correct? Or am I mistaken in this matter?

This thread is relevant to my interests. How would one go about downgrading (if necessary) to root a phone on 2.3.5, or in my case 2.3.6?

EDIT: I've searched around google and this site but haven't found much.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
