Help huawei ascend g510 memory

Hi, at the risk of causing everyone''s wrath. This is my question: I have huawei g510 smartphone, it has I think 4g internal memory and a good size capacity sd card. My question, is it possible to change theDEFAULT STORAGE LOCATION from internal to sd card . I get the following message:
internal storage or sd is currently in use. If the as card is set as default storage location, the ongoing tasks will be closed and certain applications may not be able to use data stored on the internal storage. Continue? Cancel/Confirm
What are my options?
I don't want to lose all my data, photos, etc. On the other hand what is the point of an sd card if nothing is stored on it. And I don't want to make a terrible mess.
I had to u install some applications because I got warnings that the internal memory was nearly full.
i appreciate any help in this matter.
 
You probably can't do that, but if you're rooted, there's a mod called Link2SD that may do the equivalent of what you want.

Check the Huawei Ascend forum here, scroll down and look for All Things Root.

If anyone hassles you, let me know - we were all new at this once, so I expect no problems. :)
