Help Huawei Ideos U8150, black screen

Please if anyoune can help me with the following issue, I will really appreciate it:

When turning on IDEOS u8150, the screen never turns on, however the touchscreen works and I get email, sms and other sound notifications.

I do get calls and I can answer by swaping, but I don

Hi rulight 1, I've bought a phone on TradeMe which has the same problem. I'm going to try and renew the digitizer touch screen and the LCD screen to see if I can get it going again. This will be a complete learning curve for me and so far I have dismantled the phone and located on Ebay and purchased the required screens.
All up cost so far is $80.00NZ. I will post the results when I get it working. Cheers Neil.

I've installed the new screens but I think the previous owner has totally 'bricked' the phone. One of the chips on the circuit board looks as though it has overheated. The phone vibrates when started, and the green and red buttons light up and center button shows a white light. Nothing on the screen so I think the boards u/s.
