I have used Huawei p8 max dual sim for over two years now.
Two days ago I have lost the dual sim functionality, of of the sim cards reports, 'emergency calls only'.
I tried the phone settings and factory reset but non has worked. The sim cards are okay.
I have established through the phone settings that the sim card in the slot designated as 2g/3g/4g becomes active while the one assigned the 2g slot becomes inactive.
