Help Huawei U8150 Ideos Phone won't charge

Hi

I have a Huawei U8150 Ideos and today I plugged in the charger and it did not charge. it has now run out of battery and when i try to charge it only a red light shows at the top right corner. i have had no prior problems with the phone and i have tried charging it by connecting it to the pc and using the wall charger it came with.

I appreciate any help, Thanks.
 
If you use the USB connector to your computer, does anything show in the comp?
I would suspect that there is a damaged micro USB connector in the phone or possibly the cable if you don't get recognition. Neil.
 
It might pay to return to the seller and see if they can try another Adapter/lead. I'm currently charging my battery and it has been on charge in the car, in the wall adapter charger and is now plugged into the computer. Currently showing 96% charge with Green light showing. All OK.
If you have a mate with a U8150 - try their unit. It will verify whether the lead or charger is faulty if you use your comp as well. Cheers Neil.;)
 
check if the micro usb port at the bottom of the phone moves if so you need to force it in on an angle till you get it fixed
 
dougunater, if you have a loose Micro USB connector on the base of the phone, there must have been excessive force put on the plug and or it was forced in the wrong way. :o
The connector block is soldered and firmly cemented to the circuit board and would not normally become separated in normal use.
I have serviced 2 of these phones (complete strip downs) and renewed LCD and Digitizer screens. Care must be taken to ensure that the correct Micro USB B connector is used (the one supplied with the phone).
This connector has the International USB symbol moulded into the plastic and should be inserted with the symbol facing up when plugging in and the phone screen facing you. Neil. ;)
 
Hi aven4d, If you connect the lead to your comp with the phone connected and switched on - does it get recognized by the computer?
Does it open a screen on the computer showing what's on the removable disc?
Make sure that the ADB driver is installed in your comp. If nothing is shown/recognized you may have a bad lead or connection at the phone. Neil.
