Apologies if this is in the wrong forum - it's my first post. I have a Hudl 2 tablet, which was working fine until a few days ago when it began to lose the wi-fi signal. My laptop and PC were working fine online, so I assumed it was a problem with the Hudl. I then carried out a "wipe data/factory reset". When this has finished (I've tried numerous times) I click on "reboot system now", then get the "powered by android" screen, then get the "Hudl" screen. Then there's a "let's get you up and running" (Ha!) message. I then have to select a wi-fi channel. I input my wi-fi password, the wi-fi shows as being connected and it starts checking for updates. This is when things grind to a halt. It either then says it couldn't check for updates, or sometimes it will try to download the update and hit a problem. Just once it managed to download the update, but hit a problem trying to validate the update. I just cannot get past the thing trying to update. The update it's trying to download is for something called Lollipop 5.1. I have zero knowledge of coding, etc. Has anyone any suggestions apart from buy a new tablet? Thanks.
