Hudl launcher has stopped

Hi this is my second post no one gave me any help so I will try again. The hudl is my mothers and the problem is when it is booted up across the centre it says hudl launcher has stopped. When I tap the arrow in the corner it comes up with more things that have stopped.if I try to get into the settings it also says settings have stopped. Have tried many times to format the hudl but with no success. Is there any hope or shall I throw it away

Considering Tesco sacked the Hudl Dev team years ago I'm surprised they still work at all.

However.. most of the options open to you are closed ironically, mainly because you cannot get into the settings page to reset the device or enable USB debugging to allow you to issue some commands via ADB.

Will the playstore work at all? If so you could try and download a different launcher to see if you could bypass the launcher errors? And then maybe the system would become more stable so you could get into the settings page.. maybe.

You could also try to contact them via the phone number I have attached. I don't hold out much hope for that tho given that the page is called "Hudl2 exit plan"!
