Hudl virus

Hi, i have a hudl 1 that was infected with a virus so i factory reset it, and now i cant set it up. Every time i try it freezes or a add pops up i cant close. Because i cant set it up i also cant install a security app to get rid of it. Im at a loss of what to do. Any suggestions?

This is shown on the Galaxy S8 but should also work on your device:

Hold down power button until you get reboot option and then hold down on restart or try pressing and holding power off button again.

If you can get into safe mode you should be able to make the necessary adjustments to get things fixed... or at least have a better shot.

Thanks for the help but it didnt work... It just opens a load of ads rendering me incapable of doing anything. I cant close the adds and when they pop up it says getting started has stopped working.

Maybe try doing a Factory Reset just one more time in case something didn't quite work out the first time. If you're still having the same problem, it sounds like you might need to flash a stock ROM to replace some kind of glitch with current Android operating system on your Hudl 1. This article seems to be a nice write-up that parallels your description:

This sounds like it would work but i have no clue how to do that. It describes my exact problem but i honestly have no idea what it wants me to do. Thanks anyway!

The article does include the author's step-by-step actions, including screen captures and links that point to necessary downloads, so if you're averse to such things you should just take your phone to someone (a more tech savvy friend) or a local business to have them look into it.
