huge gaping Android security risk?

I was concerned about my mobile device (Running Android on my phone...LOVE it!) when I was reading an article that there's two huge exploits in the Android OS involving getting a bad text message? Can someone clarify?

Yes their was an sms exploit months ago but this has been patched in Android so you have no concern
