I am about to pull the trigger but, can someone illuminate this?

OK, there are several phones whose names are so close, that a newbie to the G5 game like me, is hesitant before having someone explain what the hey is going on.
It's hard enough searching for information since a lot of video bloggers and informational sites don't even get the name for the model right sometimes.
So with all that said, Can someone break down all these models for me in layman's terms?
Moto g5
Moto g5 plus
Moto g5s
Moto g5s plus

G5 and G5S non-Plus models are not sold in the US, only the Plus models are... G5+ has a 5.2' screen, G5S has a 5.5' screen, otherwise they are identical. G5+ has about 10-15% better SoT due to different display panels.
