Hi, my phone is an HTC Desire, and I wanted to change my YouTube account, so I went into desktop mode, but now I can't get out. I've reset/restarted my phone, checked/unchecked it under menu. Turned off some running programs, everything people said to try to others who asked this question, it helped them, but not me. I am desperate, ANY ideas, no matter how stupid, would help. Please, this makes it impossible to do stuff, I casually/normally do online, and my phone is my internet. I need help ASAPOEBT.

Hi Brandonissora, and welcome to AF :)

I assume you are referring to the browser mode? It's been a long time since I used the stock browser on the Desire, but you'll either want to untick desktop view or tick mobile view in the browser's settings. If you can't see either, look for "user agent" in the settings (which is the technical name for this - whether the phone tells the site it's a phone or pretends to be a desktop browser).

If none of that works, two alternatives I can think of are:

1) clear data for the browser via the applications menu. That will set the browser back to defaults (it will of course also clear any saved passwords, web history, etc).

2) install a third party browser (there are a lot which are arguably better than the HTC one - I used to use Boat a lot when I had my Desire, but there are many to choose from). Then you can choose which view that browser uses.

Good luck
