Fully compatible with the iPhone I bought a couple of years ago.

Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in China

Edit:

Knock-off iPhones, the ones that are phones and not gas stoves or electric bicycles, I've seen "Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in USA" on them. LOL

I am sorry to think this....
but......

for items like this to sell in a particular market... what does it say about that market?

It's emerging markets.

PR China :thumbsupdroid:

1) 35+ years ago there was no shampoo in China, nor other western things like pizza, coffee or candy bars.
2) Western luxury brand desirability and perceived cachet. And from what I've seen the three that have the most trademark abuse with completely arbitrary products, are Apple, Burberry and Louis Vuitton.

Yup, Louis Vuitton, "LV" real estate...

...might have thought they only made expensive handbags.

See the Burberry copyright check pattern everywhere, mouse pads, car seat covers, coasters, wallpaper, etc. etc.
