Help I can only hear calls on speakerphone on my S6 Edge

Hi

As the title says, whenever I get calls, or call someone the only way to even here my phone RING is if its on speakerphone. If its not on speakerphone, well, Its absolute silence. When someone picks up the phone or if I pick up the phone, they can hear me, but I can't hear them.
My device is a:

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge, Model SM-G925W8, and my carrier is VIRGIN Mobile Canada.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

My son bought it used online around 4 or 5 months ago. It worked perfectly fine up until now.

It does sound like a hardware failure, like the earpiece is broken possibly. In which case either Samsung or other third-party repair service will be required.
