I too have been having issues the last week or so with upgrading apps that I previously hadn't had issues with. Not sure if it's a market/android thing or what. I don't have an answer to your problem but I wanted to post to tell you you're not alone and hopefully someone will have an answer.
You guys need to be a little bit, well, actually a lot more descriptive! What phone, what Android version, what happens exactly when you do what, what error messages, what app(s) are you trying to download? Is it in one particular spot or everywhere? Does it occur on WiFi, or also 3G? Etc. etc. etc.
