I can't find .files on my pc

I used to be able to access '.folders' when i connect my my galaxy s6 phone to my windows PC. After a few attempts I can no longer locate the '.folders' anymore when browsing my phone from my PC.

Is there a way to fix this? What can i do to make these folders appear again?
I tried restarting my computer and phone but that didn't do anything.

When you say .folders i assume u mean hidden folders. To access hidden folder try following this link

I just tried it but unfortunately it didn't work. The '.folders' are still not showing up on my pc. I know they are there, in fact i can navigate them on my android.
I know it has nothing to do with it either but I went to "My Files" folder, tapped on the option>settings tab and tapped on show hidden files to switch it on. As predicted, it also didn't do anything.

I'm not fully understand what you are saying. What i understood from the original post is, that the hidden folders are not showing up (reason why i understood that way is because files that have a dot before them (.folders) become hidden files) now, in order to view them on a pc, you would have to enable the option to view hidden files.
Did you say you had a problem in opening a file or you said that others do?

No I have no problem my pc sees my S8+ files and my pc is set up different than that link is what I said, I believe it's something the carriers do maybe to stop tethering. (I'm unlocked)

My bad, i just checked and .Folders don't show up by me either.
What i did was remove the dot on my phone and the file shows up
