I don't know if this is from root

I installed kingroot but i got a messed up app and i did a factory reset so once i did that the welcome screen popped up and said choose my language once i did that i connected to wifi and then i came to the checking for updates screen and now im stuck at and endless loop for checking for updates.

What phone is it? Do you have access to computer? When you say "checking for updates" you don't mean updating apps etc? When it does the updating apps it does take a while for them to update, is it just getting stuck there or starting again in a loop? What actually happened, did you root with the Kingroot, reboot and got straight to this point above?
