I don't want any group conversations...

RICOBICO

Lurker
I never had this problem with my s4 and my wife doesn't have this problem with her s5.

I am having a text conversation with one person, but when the message comes through, say from my friend Brian - the tosays: "me, Brian"

When I reply to Brian, I also get a text message to myself in a seperate text window titled "me". It's annoying as hell.

There is a line below the message that says "group conversation" with a square to check or uncheck. Checking the box does nothing and leaving it blank does nothing.

Any way to permanently stop myself from being included as some sort of third person? I NEVER have group conversations, so this is just a pain and I can't find an answer.

Wow I've never seen that yet. LoL
Sounds Quite frustrating.

my Question is this:
Are you using a 3rd party messaging app or the stock messaging app ? I ask because if you have two messaging apps installed it may be that both apps are acting on the same event trigger , IE: you pushing the send button... and sending a text

hopefully someone with more knowledge of your particular device can chime in...

no, I am using the one stock app. And it doesn't do it for every message, just some.
