I don't want the ring lock screen, then the pattern unlock.

Hi all.

On my galaxy, it would come up straight away with the pattern to unlock. But with the hoc one Xl it shows the ring lock, then goes to the pattern screen unlock. Is there a way to have the patter lock only when I press the power button. It's a pain having to unlock the ring screen to then go to the pattern screen.....

don't know if you'd be interested in an alternative. i have an app from the play store called awesome off ultimate. it permits you to turn the phone on and off bypassing the power button. you tilt the phone to a specified angle to turn it on - and what comes on is the pattern lock screen, no locking ring. to turn the phone off, you wave your hand over the proximity sensor. it was quirky, but with the new ota, it works quite smoothly (on my stock int'l one x).

Wow, that's annoying! I can't see any way to change the behavior either.
