I dont want to chat all the time!

Hi All. Hope someone can help. Any ideas why every time I go into Facebook on my H.T.C. Wildfire it logs me onto chat online? I have done a search on this but cant find a definative answer. I go offline on my computor but then, when using my phone, it puts me back on chat. I'm sure it didnt use to happen when i first had it, so I think it might be since I've had updates on the app. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Mine did the same after an update the other day. If you go to the app home screen where it has "chat", "newsfeed", profile etc...click on the "chat" option then choose "go offline" from the menu it will turn it off for you.

Sorry for the delay in answering but have been away. Many thanks Goreygirl for the reply. Have done what you suggested, tried it a few times, and it seems to have solved the problem!
