I found some new battery info on my phone just now...

Well, maybe not new....I don't know, but I didn't know it was there.

click the following selections,
Settings, battery information, battery use, then...at the top where it shows time on battery...click it.

You r correct it's a cool feature if you shut your phone off and re-start it the following day it will give you a total of hours or days and hours but if you shut it down and charge it then it will re-start from the time you re-power it up afer the chargng cycle

I do know that after the last update on my Droid Incredible, I found the same feature.
