I got 4G service in my area!

Woohoo! This is my first post informing the people of Los Angeles that now we have 4G coverage in our area, and New York too. Now just waiting hopefully by the end of Sept for Froyo then root this sucker afterward. :D

I'm in Battery Park and just tried 4G myself: It's staying on consistently for the first time since launch.

Excellent news, SR. To my NYC brethren: Welcome to 4G!

i just did a speed test on bandwidthplace and got.
dl speed 5.68Mbps and up speed 996kbps.
wow. that is a bit more faster than 2x than my home internet speed.

Meanwhile, San Diego (You know, the REAL Southern California) gets shafted with absolutely no plans to get 4G.

As long as you LA yanks are north of me, you'll always be Central California in my eyes. So....nyah.

*crosses arms in impotent rage*

/Don't worry, I'm just jealous. :p

I have 4g in my area. I live in Jacksonville, Fl. However, my 4g speeds as far as dling goes aren't all that great. Definitely not what they are supposed to be at. Is this most likely a signal strength problem (tested with 2 out of 3 bars.), or could it be a problem with my phone? Have the Epic4G

Numbers = dl is about 1.26mbps and upload averages about 1.02mbps.

Sorry to kind of high jack the celebration thread. Glad you guy are starting to see 4g out there!!!! Come on sprint lets keep it going!

here in Orlando, FL. I travel all around the city during the day and can get a solid 4G signal in most areas, in my house it's been spotty/non-existent till today, now I'm sitting on the same spot on the couch I always do and have a solid 4G signal for the last couple hours,,,,I'm guessing Sprint just turned something on around me here in Colonialtown Orlando,,,YAY
