Do you think the esteem will ever have the option to like the lightray or the motion WITHOUT rooting your phone? Should I keep my Esteem or sell it for one of the other two phones that have the hotspot option? I just got the unlimited $55 plan me and my wife but figure it would be cheaper to go back the $40 plan and just get comcast or att wifi for $20. That why I could have a wifi connection at home and connect my phones, xbox, and laptop to them.

FYI they won't give you the tethering option with the $55 unlimited plan, it's only available with the throttled plans and the hotspot use counts as part of your total data for the month.
