Help I have a Epic 4G Touch and it won't allow me to go in to Odin OC mode

Hi all I've been looking at this forum for quite sometime now looking to see if there was any word on an official ICS update yet i have found none but hopefully soon . Now I flashed my phone to an FD24 update and Im trying to get back to stock Gingerbread EL29 but I can't go into download mode to use it on Odin OC. If anybody can help me it is much appreciated!

That is Odin Mode. It is accessed by holding home and volume down while booting I believe. Push the power button and the phone should reboot back up normally.

Everytime I try and use use the volume down and power button it keeps booting up but will this method work?

Here, try this -- Power down phone
Wait for capacitative button lights to turn off
Simultaneously Press and Hold [Power] [VolDn] until confirmation screen appears
Press [VolUp] to enter Download mode

Tried it and still doesnt work. But I ordered a jig from amazon ive been reading about them and im going to go and try it out and see if it works. Will post the results when it arrives next week!

I had he same problem recently. I changed to a different USB cord and it connected right away.

@forever_z You tried a different cord and it worked? I might have to try it but im now having this problem again but hopefully i can get it to work again because im trying to flash cynagenmod 10 JB Alpha 6 rom which is the android 4.1 beta on the epic 4g touch.
