Like I said I have a LG g Vista and I downloaded a certain app and it said if the phone did not reboot after five minutes prior to installing the app to manually reboot it myself and that was case so I did. Well, it started to startup but when it got to the red Verizon logo screen it would go no further, it did not freeze up or
anything of that sort, it just acted as though it was loading but would never progress further on.
I did some research and it appeared as though it wasn't completely uncommon and and from what I could find out the procedures you should undergo is to 1) turn off the device. 2) hold the low-key volume button and power button. 3) wait until you see the first logo screen that says life's good, when you do release the power button for a split second then press back down while still holding the low-key volume button without ever releasing it. 4) keep both buttons held down untill the phone vibrates then release both buttons.
You will then reach the system recovery page with five options available. 1)Continue power up, 2) safe mode, 3) factory data reset, 4) wipe cache, 5) power down.
The research I have undergone said the best option is to enter safe mode and uinstall the third partsy apps that could have ca used it or revert the data that has been tampered with to it as original state (I have rooted my phone and "improved" some of the quality of said device) so the phone will hopefully start working properly.
Now the reason why I am on this site right now is because non of the options you are presented with on the system recovery page are working at all, I've tried them all.
For instance when I tried to factory data reset my phone it would say deleting data but when it would reboot as soon as it reach the red Verizon logo screen it would go no further, the same with the rest of the options.
I have tried the soft reset too, both ways 1) to take out the battery for around 15 seconds, then reinsert the battery again, 2) turn off the device and connect it to a power outlet and as soon as the LED light start flashing or turns on immediately disconnect the power cord from the device and that should do the trick I most cases too, it did not though Well i was wondering if there was another solution or should I just buy another phone?
