How do I get them off my home screen

Put simply, find which of your apps is responsible an uninstall it.

Anything you've installed or updated recently is more likely to be the suspect. For more intrusive ads then stuff from outside the Play Store may be more likely. Apps from Du or Go are automatically suspect.

Try booting into safe mode. If no ads there that will confirm it's a user-installed app responsible. Then it's probably trial and error to find which.

Also what phone do you have? Some devices purchased on Amazon are sold at a discount and include ads as part of that discount promotion. If that's the case it's unlikely you can remove them.
