I have the feeling that there aren't 1.5 Million Users, what do you say?

There used to be stats at the bottom of the site that showed the number of registered users, and the number of active (logged in) users at any given time. Here is from a random date (12/12/12) on wayback machine. As you can see, we had 1,229,726 users in 2012, so 1.5mm doesn't seem out of range. It only shows registration info as you had to be logged in to see who was actually logged in, and you can't log into wayback :(. IIRC we used to see 10-15k users logged in at any given time. I don't know what todays numbers are though.

Oh yes ... yes there are. I've personally talked to each and every one of them ... sometimes TWICE! ;)

Seriously, there are probably in excess of that number for registered members, active members will be much lower. To be fair, most people tend to cruise through with one or two questions and then go on their merry way. But, the users with some brains and the desire to help out stick around, and they're the ones you want to talk to anyway. :)

I've always thought we have more web users than app users

Android Forums has been online for 9 years, but the app has been out less than a year. I would guess that a lot of those app installs are from existing members, but I would also guess that membership growth is now fueled by the app.

WOW!!! I had no idea the app was installed that many times.

I didn't think @steve had that many test phones. ;)
