I Need A Battery Breakdown App...

Everytime I go into the battery usage on my GT540 it tells me that around 95% to 99% of the battery is being used by 'android'.

I wold like to be able to find out what apps are using the battery most.

for example.... how much battery is my music playing app using?

Does anyone know of an app or a way to get a more detailed breakdown of what exactly is using the battery please?

Cheers.

spare parts and watchdog are good.

Most likely you have a program like smart measure that is coded improperly, and while its not using battery, doesn't register back to the android system that it turned of a sensor, so the battery usage page is displaying wrong.

Cheers times flies.

I dont have smart measure or anything like that, my LG GT540 just does not give a breakdown of what apps/programs are taking up my battery usage.

I will surely check out watchdog and spare parts though if they will give me a breakdown.

Many thanks!

Lots of system managment/info/task killers out there that do that. Search the forums a bit and your find a few dozen recommendations on apps like that. They are stupidly popular.

Typically the screen uses the most battery by far. Something like 50-80%

Next up is usually what's referred to as "cell standby" This is your phone connecting to 3G and losing signial dropping to 2G, then reconnecting etc....

Most other apps site somewhere in the last 10-30% of battery usage.

If you play intense games or surf the web a lot, that will use battery. watching video as well. Audio too but not as much as you'd think.

Thanks alostpacket.

Well that is exactly what I need.... an app that tell my how much of my low battery the GPS has used and how much of it my music player has used etc etc.

You got any recommendations yourself for me please as alot of people seem to like to monitor the battery level with their apps but I want a breakdown of what is using the battery most.

Cheers.

I just look in my system settings personally, as I'm not a big fan of those kinds of apps since they invariably tell you the screen is using most of the battery ...So I might be the wrong person to ask. Sorry...

The was some sytem or app management app.... system profile or something promoted in these forums not too long ago that seemed popular, I cant recall the name of it at the moment though

Darkseas, yeah, its on my phone too. But as I posted originally, it does not give a breakdown of apps, just says 'android' usage and I want it more detailed.

There is an app called Power Tutor that will breakdown a list of all the apps and their battery usage in real time.

cheers all and steelersmb, manderle.
I have gone for wheres my droid power which seems to be doing something along the lines of what I want.
