I need a verizon phone that records both ends of the convo and 4g.

Can someone tell me what is THE best Verizon phone out on the market right now that will record both ends of the conversation of a phone call, and supports 4g?

I have the droid bionic, and it seems that it is not possible to do with this phone :( If I am wrong, PLEASE correct me!

I need to record these threatening conversations between me and the mother of my child. If any of you single fathers know how hard it is to get your child from a psychotic mother these days :(

I am very sorry to hear of your situation:( and wish I new of a phone that could do that, but what about putting it on speakerphone and recording with a tape recorder? Unless, someone here knows of a phone or an app that can do this, that would be very great.

My sprint evo 4g use to be able to do this. I dont see why they simply don't just allow all phones to do it. Yes I know against laws blahblahblah. But leave it up to the user to make that choice to break the law is my two cents :(

It is not Android forums policy to enable anyone to break the law. Call recording laws vary from state to state so it's important you check with your local authorities to determine if both parties must be aware of the recording or only one. I live in a one party state so as long as i am aware the call is being recorded, it's legal. International laws may be a bit different. Have you tried an app like AndroRec?

Just tried it and it does not work. I've read that the bootloader has to be unlocked. Anyone know if that has been done and is available to setup on my phone?

There may be other apps that don't require an unlocked bootloader or rooting. You'll have to search the market and see if there is something that fits your needs. If you want help unlocking the bootloader, Bionic - All Things Root - Android Forums will be able to help with that.

It's been a while since I 've messed with my wife's Bionic, but I don't believe you can unlock the bootloader on it. You can root, but it's not unlockable.

Here is what I do.

I have an EVO 4G. Prior to google hangouts my committee had conference calls, and in order to take appropriate notes, I would do the following.

Once the call started, I would simple turn on the Voice Recorder app.

It's just that simple. However, you need it for another reason, and doing this may not be legal.
