Hey guys!

I have started seeing all kinds of very interesting super durable / tough phones that have seriously caught my attention.

Now I want to know what is one of the best models out there? I am happy to pay about in your currency about 1000$ dollars should be fine for me as long as it is super durable with insane battery life I won't have time to charge it must keep going for a long time. Also great all round specs as well is oh so needed :)

I have had a look at many models so far and I have found the Samsung Active A8 I think it is called.

Now this phone didn't look too strong to me it looked pretty shitty to other models I have seen I think they went for good looks and flashy shitty bling bling instead of indestructible grunt.

All flash and no bash! - I don't want that!

I want tough as shit and borderline indestructible.

I have had a look at BlackView BV9000 - is it very tough?

I also like how good looking it is very pretty and atractive but the battery life could be better.

What about the Moto Z2 Force Edition?

Is this phone any good?

Please I need a super strong insanely high quality insane durability phone that would make the Germans cry beautiful tears of joy!

If you guys can help me please with an Iron Man phone!

I need a phone that only Iron Man would approve of!

I read a review of a phone that's either available or coming out with what you want, but it's only for gov't issue.

Since you probably want a current Android, find one with a metal case - seems some are aluminum
and get a good Gorilla glass face cover and a safety type case. There are some waterproof ones, and Otterbox has a case. Check the listings at Amazon for heavy duty cases. You can also see what hardhat construction workers use - either a phone or a case.

I don't think you are going to find a sexy heavy duty phone. The public wants thin and light and apparently that's what is available top of the line.

That sounds like a darn good choice!! Thanks zuben el genoobez buddy!! :D

Maybe I can charm a few friends of mine to see if I can maybe get one of those phones you are talking of :D

Yes I don't care about sexy or good looks - I need insane strength and durability! But good looks is not thinness to me :)

And hehe yes I am not a construction worker but I am the QA Engineer for the QA / QC Department :D

It took me years of study to get here but finally I am here!!! :D:D:D

But still even though I work half in the office and half on site I really really really need one of these bad boyz!

They are freaking awesome and they have seriously caught my attention now - it's the perfect phone! Just perfect!

But I need incredible durability and preferably good looks - to me thinness is not what I would call good looking but something that looks pretty to me is like the BlackView BV 9000 Pro - it's not thin at all but it looks very good looking at least to me I like it's style :)

What about the CAT S41?

Has anyone had this phone and does it have incredible durability?

Thank you @zuben el genub! :)

(how do you put a link to someone's name again?)

I'd do some good research on any Cat phone, I've seen a shit-ton of complaints about important water-shielding plastic parts coming off of them.

I'm using a Kyocera DuraForce Pro... Has every sensor you could ever need, NFC, Bluetooth, 1080p resolution, including the 3.5mm headphone jack people seem to still want. For a Kyocera, even the camera is good.

It's unrootable and kinda heavy, but with all of the extra goodies and tough water/shock rating it's forgivable, for me anyway.

My only gripe is that it's running Marshmallow, and the UI overlay is basic. Nothing special. It's half the price of the Galaxy, if price is issue.

Thank you very very much!

No price is not really an issue for me :D

But anything over 1000$ will start to be a hectic though lol :)

Damn I thought CAT would have been far more obsessed with durability and high quality :/
hmm that is a bit of a shame!

Well I will definitely check out that Kyocera that's for sure sounds great! But yes Marshmellow is a bit of a disappointment :/

Damn... does anyone make a very decent borderline indestructible phone that's really worth looking at?

Surely there must be something out there? :)

Thank you very much for your awesome response though! :D

Much appreciated spec2navish :)

(How do I add a link with someone's name again? lol I forgot how to do this hehe :D

1. dont get the biggest screen ... bigger the glass the easier it breaks
2. get a cover that has built in battery.... these are very thick which will add to protection of the phone. it has to be rubber on the outside to reduce shock to the glass.

That sounds good buddy hey thanks dan! :D

Yes the thicker the better :)

The cover with a built in battery might be hard to get for some of these lesser known brands that aren't so popular but maybe I can find something after doing a bit of digging! :D

Wow thank you everyone for trying to help me! :)

I dunno what all different brands and models they make this for but I have 3 different galaxy phones that all have Lifeproof cases. Wife dropped one in the toilet, and I have dropped the other 2 many times and still no issues with the phones. I am pretty hard on mine so that's why I have stuck with the Lifeproof cases for so long. The only caveat is that on the last case I bought the nice little waterproof door that covers the charging port broke within a couple weeks. I hardly ever drop mine in the toilet tho

Hey thanks gusy for the replies!!! :D

Sorry I didn't reply sooner the notification feature here on android forums is ridiculously buggy and didn't even tell me you had responded lol :/

Anyway those are some pretty interesting options but I am looking that is feature packed as well - the Nokia 8110 reloaded is not feature rich enough hehe :D

I need something modern and super tough! :)

A life proof case though like dan also mentioned might be a great idea though but I would prefer it to be like that straight out of the box with no issues :)

I don't think a case can copy this to the same extent as the original product with no extra add ons but maybe I am wrong there :)

But thank you very much for your awesome responses so far so good!

I really appreciate it thank you :-)
