I have a galaxy s. My sim card slot broke and I was wondering if I can download apps with out a sim card. I believe I tried everything and I don't think anything works
Whether the SD card works or not shouldn't make any difference to whether or not you can download apps - apps that you installed on your SD card won't work anymore of course. Your best bet with those is to remove them and re-install them from Play. If they won't uninstall, you may need to BACK EVERYTHING UP then do a Factory Reset.
The issue with downloads may be that you've run out of internal space on your phone. You could try clearing some space by:
- clearing all the app caches
- removing any apps you no longer use
- removing updates for any apps you don't use but can't uninstall
Alternatively, you could get the SD card slot repaired
The SIM card shouldn't make a difference in whether or not the wifi works, so you should be able to download apps over wifi. But you will not be able to call, text or use mobile data.
