I need help!!! Battery Problem

I bought a Nextbook 8 with the arm a9 quadcore 1.6ghz, but when I bought it and turned it on the battery was at 92% so I started using it. Well for about an hour the tablet worked fine an the battery percentage was at 55% so OK I thought it was fine but then it said battery dead shutting down. So wow it died on me and it said it was at 55%. So I charge it to 100% then let the screen off, about 2 hours later I go on Facebook for about 30min and was at 98% but it said shutting down battery dead, wow now its dead like if the screen was on the hole time but it off. So I been turning it off when not using it now there is another problem the tablet would just go blank when on it, and I will push the power button and it starts up like it was turn off and then you use it again but it seems like it is crashing. Or something, I got a app to tell me the temp of the CPU and when playing a game it gets up to 160
 
over a year old?? you wrote the post like it was just purchased....


do a full hard device reset on the device... put it back to stock original .. and see maybe an app is causing your issue.

or
your battery is going bad.
 
I believe its a software issue because if I fully charge it I can use it for the 5 hour battery life. But if I turn the screen off and let it sit it will die within 7 hours so I think its still on some how when the screen is off
