Don't you have access to the device? Just long press the notification and it will tell you the app that generates the notice. That generic icon could be anything.

Can't you ask the person who sent you the picture? That could be anything and doesn't necessarily mean it's also the icon for the app.

I dont care if this person chats but its a matter of honesty. If they say they dont fine, if they do fine but at least be honest about it unless they have something to hide.

Unfortunately I can't tell you what that is. The word bubble does suggest some form of chat, but it could also be an alert form a stock market app ... who knows. Like I said, that icon is so generic it could be similar to many apps. Maybe somebody else recognizes it specifically.

The stock exchange notification would make sense with the arrow pointing up.

Will see if anyone else knows about it.

Thank u

From my research I am starting to think it could be a proprietary icon from an OEM. I am not seeing any apps for either chat or finances with that icon. Really nothing close either.

I cannot find anything either and trust me i tried. What do u mean by a proprietary icon from OEM?

Possibly it means unread text message or unread email. It's next to the WiFi icon, which means it's likely a system notification and NOT a user installed chat app, also it's the same style as the unanswered phone call icon in the pic, which is something the phones manufacturer does. These all appear on the right side of the notifications area, user installed third-party app notifications are on the left of the notifications area.
