I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 from Boost Mobile and I am ready for the Jelly Bean update! I downloaded the Kies. The software was great. It downloaded then....boom. I have a mobile hotspot on my phone and that is how I get my internet connections. I got excited and finally said, "I am finally getting my update" but what I didn't know was that the phone would shut off for it to do the update so my internet connection on my computer shut off too so I couldn't finish the update. Is there anyway I can update my phone via Kies Air? The simple upgrade tool took me literally 2 days to download and it still wasn't finished, that is why I downloaded Kies. If I can't do Kies Air, is there any other way I can get the jelly bean update that won't shut off my phone so I won't lose my internet connection? An answer soon will be deeply appreciated.

Sorry your having so much trouble with this, to upgrade using kies it should just be a matter of plugging in your phone and kies will download the appropriate software for it, then flash it.

Another option would be to download the software manually from sammobile.com, you would then require a tool called Odin(program available for free download!) Then the file downloaded via Sam mobile can be flashed using Odin.... this would void your warranty though!

For more info check out this great guide

although it is for the international version, instructions are still the same just ensure you use the correct downloaded files :-)
