I need some feedback on kids tablets vs. the galaxy tab PLEASE

I am wanting to buy my daughter a tablet of some sort for Christmas. I'm looking at the Leappad 2, the Galaxy tab, the Lexibook junior or the Vinci tab.

The LeapPad 2 is good but the apps on it are much higher than android apps and it doesn't access the Google Play store.

The Lexibook, well I can't find much info about it online. Apparently it doesn't access Google PLay either but it does have a lot of it's own apps to choose from, I can't find a list of apps or prices though.

The Vinci tab says it access Google Play.

Then there's the good old Galaxy tablet.

I want something reliable with learning apps and games on it.

I tried to put some educational apps on my Kindle Fire for her but half of them were corrupted and wouldn't work.

Kids tablets in general though seem to get only 2.5 stars out of 5 where most of the time the Galaxy tablet gets 4-5 out of 5.

Do you guys know anything about any of these? If so which would you choose and why?

I was waiting on the new one that Toys R US makes but after waiting on it I found that it too gets only 2 stars out of 5. It turns out you either get one that works great or you get one that works for a few hours and then quits:(

I have moved this thread to the Device Comparison forum to receive some better feedback since you are comparing devices.

Also, have you looked into the Nexus 7? or is that out of your price range?

Nexus could also be an option. A friend of mine bought her 6 year old a Nexus and said they love it and have had no issues with it.

What makes a Nexus better than a Galaxy?
