HTC Butterfly J, Japanese model, will or will not pick up T-mobile band 4? I tried looking and exhausted my options.

Thanks

According to here HTC Butterfly - Full phone specifications its a NO.

That butterfly phone will not work. Most of the tmobile and MetroPCS 4G network is in the 1700 bands AWS better known as band 4. This phone does not even have that frequency. MetroPCS has 700Mhz ,only in a small portion of the north east, not even deployed yet so thats no use.

And This is believed to be a upcoming model of the HTC Butterfly 2 with support for CDMA and WCDMA networks and as such, would be the global version of the device. So old technology.

It is a headache searching for a Japanese phone . Not too clear description of bands. This could answer your question. Exclusive to HTC One J market Japan and KDDI a cell phone carrier in Japan. Its a minor updated version of the HTC One in western markets like US.

According to wikipedia, it supports PCS, but only the 2100mhz part of AWS
