Help I placed a foreign sim card...

I put a foreign sim card into my Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 and got an "invalid sim" message but was not prompted for an unlock code. Does this mean my phone is unlocked? If so, is there a way to get the sim to work in my new phone?

Hi

I suspect your S5 is a CDMA (not GSM) phone locked to Verizon. Its SIM slot is just to allow LTE use for data (which uses an LTE sim card). It will not work with a GSM voice & data SIM card from another network.
