I put the S3's video recorder to the test this weekend!

Amazing what they can do with phone cameras these days, huh?
 
Did you have a gas mask on in the last video? This happened to me a few years back at Indy, I rounded the corner and they just fired up a car, I immediately grabbed my eyes, turned around and walked as far as I could blind. Burned so bad. The fuel does wonders on them!

haha no i didnt have gas masks. We are fans, only the crewmen had masks lol. These cars are a million times more powerful than indy cars lol. They pack about 10,000 horse power and go 0-150 1 sec, 0-310 in 4 seconds.

The cool thing about nhra races is that the pits are open to the public. so whenever teams are about to fire up their cars for a test run, they pile in behind. They start running on normal fuel and then they pump in the nitro and the car goes crazy lol. And ya it burns the living life out of your eyes. But just standing 10 ft behind that car and hearing and feeling its power is unbelievable. If you look at the video again and see when the two guys go behind the car and press down on it....there is a huge backfire like noise. You can see the camera shake and everyone go crazy because that backfire pushed everyone back. Popped my ear drum too lol.
 
I am referring to the drag racing, they do that in Indy to. Different location of course but I think it was pretty close to the Indy 500 location, been several years ago so it's a bit foggy in my head. But yeah, I remember the pits being open which we had no idea they would be. Really cool experience to see all the cars up close but for me a little to close with my experience. Yes burned the hell out of my eyes.
 
When the two guys press down on the rear and the driver burps the motor...........wow..................memories :):):)

The first time that happened to me was while i was watching Don Garlits warm up his motor. He was running it on pump gas at first and the motor was very tame so most of us just got closer....lol. Then he switched fuels, went to nitro and holy crap what a difference! I couldn't see correctly for a week and i could still smell and taste the nitro fro 10 days or so...........UNREAL :):):)
Was hearing that most of the "knowledgeable" folks think they are pumping out close to 12000 horsepower now.............unreal.

haha ya you notice a difference when they pump in the nitro.

If only my video could show what it really is like in person. Im not a hardcore racer fan. I'm just some city boy lol but these nhra drags are out of this world.

And ya they are up to around 12,000 horsepower nowadays. Every year or two when theres further advances in technology and research, their horsepower increases lol.

but ya this was john forces pit. The guy is a legend.
