How in the world does Subsonic work?
I down loaded the website to my PC. I told the "site" where my music is and it found ALL of it. Now do I , (i think it says "select all") is that download for the mini player to play on my web page or does all that info have to be downloaded for the server..If it does have to be downloaded, it's taking A FRKN LONG TIME and my computer wants it to stop b/c it slows down. I posed this very question on their forum very earlier today no one answered, yous guys always answer and ALWAYS has a answer. Am I missing somthing. then i am having a bitch of a time tell my D1 that I am "online" with the site...HELP-does this disortation make sense?
I want to use it b/c i dont want to use my 80g i*od -----

I read your post on the Subsonic Forum. Yeah, you are confused. I don't think you have installed the Subsonic client program from the Market onto your D1, have you?


Subsonic sets up a server on your PC that uses port 80 on the PC's IP address. The server runs as a background program on your PC, so you should see its icon in the Windows tray.

On the Android device you install the Subsonic client program. You have to set it up to "see" your Subsonic server. This may be the part that's giving you problems. Have you entered the server address into the client? Have you entered the correct user name and password on both the server and the client?
